ABIA LG ELECTION :APGA Suffers Setback As Party Chieftains Disowns Candidate.... Vows To Vote Against The Party
Barely 17 hours to the LG election in Abia state ,the chairmanship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Mr Christian Okeri has suffered set back as key members of the party resolved to vote the ruling party in the state.
This we gathered is as result of Mr Okeri's failure to make public the exact amount of money he got from the state party's sponsor, Dr Alex Otti.
One of the party faithful and immediate past LGA woman leader of the party ,Mrs Ngozi Moses who made this known to newsmen unbehalf of the party members expressed her anger, she said that members of the party are aware that Chinyeaka Okeri received a cheque of N20,000,000 from Dr Alex Otti last month but has refused to bring out the money let the party know the amount he collected on our behalf.
" We are not fools, we have suffered for this party, this man that joined APGA not too long ago is now treating us like lepers . we are aware of the cheque he received from Dr Otti the day he received chieftaincy title from Eze Enweremadu ,he thinks we are fools, is this how he will support the party when he wins the election?, God forbid, since he wants to divide the party let it start with his election, she said.
Meanwhile, Mr Jerry Barah an APGA chieftain from Ehi Na Uguru described Christian Okeri as a wicked soul.
He said " That boy is very wicked and should be treated as such, he is busy collecting money from people, he thinks he can do it alone, now he's importing miscreants from God knows where just to rig tomorrow's election, since the day he declare his intention to contest for this election the party men and women have been with him not knowing he's using us to enrich his pocket. Well, since Alex has nothing to do with money let him continue wasting it on in grates , as far as tomorrow is concern I will vote against APGA because of Christian Okeri.
Also many fingers are pointing at Mr Okeri as the brain behind the evil faces loitering around Umuru and Umuehim in Ehi Na Uguru political block.
